Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Her early years were shaped by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense training in singing at 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. While a young student and professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. The passion and love she has in music, art and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially in the younger generations to keep this tradition vibrant.
