Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. In Medellin in 2017, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. It reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. Then in 2021 he sang a duet on TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo is a musician born in a musical home. Both his parents also played the guitar. In his interviews, he said music participation as mandatory. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. Though his original career plan was to be veterinarian but his brother Julian encouraged him to start studying singing with an instructor in Cuban. It revolutionized his entire life.
